They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Punjab and west Rajasthan, markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 45.2°C, recorded at Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan and Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh.
