Weather was dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Nilokheri 2, Himachal Pradesh: Arki, Kangra and Nalagarh 5 each, Guler 4, Barsar, Kasol, Nahan and Pandoh 3 each, Bhuntar, Berthin, Kahu, Shimla, Solan, Sundernagar and Sunibhaji 2 each and Nadaun 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Banihal 3, Punjab: Jallandhar and Nangal 3 each and Balachaur and Ludhiana 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 1.

Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Haryana, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, appreciably above normal in Rajasthan, above normal in Punjab, appreciably below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 46.6° C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan).
