Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, rose in Haryana, Punjab and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was above normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 36.4°C recorded at Varanasi AP (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April, 2006: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 1, 2006: Mainly clear sky. The maximum be around 31°C and 17°C respectively.
