Smile Train to treat children with cleft lip

The district administration has launched a project in collaboration with the Christian Medical College and Hospital and Smile Train, an NGO, for treating children with cleft lip and cleft palate free of cost. The objective of the project is to make children of this district free of these congenital deformities.

Woman crushed under tractor Ludhiana, March 4 An aged woman, Veena Rani, was crushed under a Tractor-trailer near Kaka Marriage Palace on Ferozepore road today morning. She was crossing the road. The police said driver of the tractor, Mewa Singh of Matour of Mohali, had been arrested and the vehicle impounded. The woman lived near Hambran road. The police said the woman was avoiding being hit by an auto-rickshaw while crossing the road when she was crushed under the tractor. State on fast track of development, says Birmi

People throng chicken mela Ludhiana, March 4 Chicken lovers are happy again and the fear of bird flu seems to be waning quickly.
