Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 10.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 26, 2006: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 26, 2006: Mainly clear sky. Mist likely in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 16°C.
