Departure: They were largely above normal in west Rajasthan, markedly above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 10.4°C recorded at Amritsar.
Forecast valid until the morning of February 19: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
