Cold wave conditions are prevailing in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, likely to abate during the next two days. They have abated from Punjab.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: The minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was below normal in east Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2.2°C recorded at Pilani (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of January 15: Rain/snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of January 15: Mainly clear sky. Mist/shallow fog in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 6°C.
