Jathedar has no right to take decisions: scholars

Eminent Sikh scholars, who met here today, attacked the authority of the Akal Takht and said the Jathedar had no right to take a decision on Sikh issues. Only Sarbat Khalsa is competent to take a decision on all vital issues.

BJP seeks survey of area under land Act
Mohali, December 19
The government should order a fresh survey of the area falling under the Punjab Land Preservation Act, 1900, which had not been done for decades. An agitation will be launched in February if no action was taken in this regard.

Army to use entire budget expenditure

If it was their duty as soldiers to fight for the country, was not it the duty of the Army top brass and the country to fight for their release after they became POWs in the 1971 war? Sadly, very little, if anything, has been done for them either by the Army or the country in the past 34 years.
