Cold wave conditions are prevailing in some parts of Haryana, Punjab and west Rajasthan.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures fell in Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was markedly below normal in Punjab, appreciably below normal in Haryana and west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 1.4°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of December 5: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of December 5: Cold wave conditions are prevailing in Delhi. Mainly clear sky. Mist in the morning. The minimum temperature will be around 5°C.
