Srinagar braves the chill at -2.9°C
Chandigarh, November 26 While the low at Srinagar settled two degrees below normal, the minimum temperature in Jammu was recorded within the normal range at 12.4° C, the Met said. Amritsar was the coldest place in Punjab recording a low of 5.8 °C. The lows in Patiala and Ludhiana settled at 8.6 °C and 9.5 °C, respectively. In Haryana, Ambala recorded a low of 8° C, down by a degree. Karnal registered a three degree below normal minimum at 7.8 °C while Hisar had low of 12°C. Chandigarh had a partially overcast sky today, but the minimum was recorded within the normal range at 9.4 C. The maximum here today was recorded at 26 C. In Himachal Pradesh, Shimla recorded a low of 5.7 °C. The hill town had a cold day recording a high of 13.6 °C. Bhuntar too braved the chill registering a low of 3 °C. According to the Met, the maximum temperature at most places in Punjab and Haryana was recorded in the range of 25-27 degrees celsius. — PTI |
