Woman succumbs to burn injuries
Pathankot, October 15
In a gory crime, a 27-year-old woman was allegedly burnt to death at Madhopur cantonment on Thursday. Priyanka, a post-graduate teacher from RS Pura area of Jammu and Kashmir, was married to Rajiv of Madhopur 18 months ago.
Mother and sisters of the woman burnt to death wail at the Pathankot Civil Hospital on Friday.

Tributes paid to BSF jawan

found in a nullah at Kooch Behar in West Bengal after two days’
search.

Vigilance appoints info officers

The Right to Information Act has been implemented by the Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, Mr A.P. Pandey, Chief Director, has claimed.
A spokesperson said the bureau was among the first departments of Punjab to

Man held for murdering father

Police today claimed to have solved a murder case with the arrest of the
victim’s son and daughter-in-law. In another breakthrough, police
nabbed 4 persons in connection with an abduction case and got the
abducted man freed.

4 held for contract killings

The Ropar police today arrested all four accused, who were allegedly involved in the murder of a childless couple of Agampur of Anandpur Sahib town in the district. The four arrested include a relative of the deceased, Amarjit Kaur, tantric Labha Singh, Kulwant Singh and Sanjay Giri.
