HOSHIARPUR Duped for sending abroad: Inder Singh of Kaire village and Sukhdev Singh of Budho Barkat in a complaint to the police have alleged that Amarjit Singh and his father Joginder Singh have duped them of Rs 22 lakh on the pretext of sending their sons abroad. They neither sent their sons abroad nor returned the money. The Dasuya police has
registered a case under Section 420, IPC against Amarjit and his father. Booked for cheating: On a complaint by Samitter Singh of Gobindpur Khun-Khun village, the sadar police, has registered a case of cheating under Sections 420 and 120 B of the IPC against Gulwinder Singh, his father Bhagat Singh and mother Surinder Kaur for giving a false matrimonial advertisement in a daily English newspaper. In his complaint Samitter Singh stated that on the basis of the advertisement he married his daughter Kulwinder Kaur with Gulwinder Singh on January 17, 2005.
