EC pulls up Hooda for violating code
Unhappy with Buta Singh over appointments
New Delhi, September 9
The Election Commission today rapped Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for violating the model code of conduct by announcing a girls’ school in Rohtak and expressed “serious displeasure” over the appointments made by Bihar Governor Buta Singh.

failure’ behind bridge collapse
Army confirms 34 deaths

Army authorities after roll-call
today morning confirmed 34 casualties in the bridge collapse on Thursday
here on the national highway-22 while the inquiry team that arrived from
the headquarters of Western Command (Chandimandir) has indicated “material
failure” behind the incident.
