Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Tajewala 7 and Naraingarh 1, east Uttar Pradesh: Balrampur, Gonda and Katerniaghat 7 each, Bahraich 4, Elginbridge 3, Basti and Regoli 2 each and Bansi, Bhinga, Kakrahi, Kakardharighat and Shardanagar 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 4, Hardwar and Uttarkashi 2 each and Marora and Srinagar 1 each. 

Forecast valid until the morning of August 30: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region. 

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of August 30: Partly cloudy sky with possiblity of thundry development in some areas.
