Monsoon has been active in east Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was dry in Rajasthan. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are Haryana: Kalka 1, Himachal Pradesh: Dhundhi 3, Jammu and Kashmir: Katra 2, Punjab: Amritsar 2, east Uttar Pradesh: Varanasi AP 9, Gorakhpur 7, Ayodhya, Birdghat and Sultanpur FM 6 each, Varanasi city 5, Sultanpur 4, Bhatpurwaghat, Bahraich, Elginbridge, Jaunpur and Shardanagar 3 each, Basti, Balrampur, Chandradeepghat, Ghazipur and Gonda 2 each and Bhiinga Khadda, Katerniaghat and Mukhlishpur 1 each, west Uttar Pradesh: Bareilly 4, Moradabad 2 each Hindon 1 and Uttaranchal: Kalagarh, Pantnagar and Rishikesh 3 each, Rudraprayag and Tehri 2 each and Banbasa 1.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 24: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolate places in east Rajasthan. Weather will be mainly dry in west Rajasthan.
