5 terrorists held in Jammu
Jammu/Lucknow, July 15
In a joint operation launched by the UP and Jammu police five terrorists were arrested from the Mendhar area of Poonch district in Jammu for their involvement in the attack on the Ram Janmabhoomi Complex in Ayodhya. The
attack on the temple was planned by terrorists of the Lashkar-e-Toiba in Jammu and Kashmir.

Punjab to invest Rs 200 cr to make Mohali IT hub

Logging on to a programme of development works in the state, the Punjab Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh, today removed all apprehensions in the minds of Information Technology giants by declaring that the state government would soon invest Rs 200 crore for the infrastructural growth and development of Mohali.

24 Taliban fighters killed

US-led coalition forces have killed 24 Taliban fighters who were apparently trying to enter Pakistan from the border with Afghanistan in North Waziristan, the Pakistani army said today.

FIR against supplier to anganwadis

In a communication to The Tribune following the investigative story on contaminated packaged drinking water samples on Friday, representatives of the Small Scale Water & Beverage Manufacturers Association have given their response to the story. They have stated that they are the licensees of the Bureau of Indian Standards which is the governing and licensing authority on packaged drinking water in India.
