Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at many places in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Kalka 6, Hisar 4, Ambala and Chandigarh 3 each and Ayanagar and New Delhi (Safdarjung) 1 each. Himachal Pradesh: Rampur Bushahar and Sundernagar 11 each, Dhundhi 10, Bhuntar and Sunibhaji 9 each, Bhang, Kasol and Solangnala 8 each, Pandoh and Shimla 7 each, Kahu 6, Berthin, Guler, Ghamroor and Sujanpurtira 3 each, Nurpur 2 and Nadaun 1, Jammu and Kashmir: Batote 5 and Banihal and Quazigund 1 each, Punjab: Nangal 3, Balachaur. Jallandhar and Nawanshahar 2 each and Ludhiana and Patiala 1 each.

Forecast valid until the morning of July 8: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir.

Heavy rainfall warning: Scattered heavy rain with isolated very heavy falls is likely in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh during the next 48 hours. Isolated heavy rain is also likely in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal during the same period.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of July 8: Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain/thundershowers. One or two may be heavy in some areas.

Outlook for the sbsequent two days: Increase in rainfall.
