Heavy rain likely in Himachal

Rain/thundershowers have been reported at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm. are: Haryana: Ambala 3 and Kaithal 1; Himachal Pradesh: Pandoh 4, Rampur Bushahar 3, Sujanpurtira 2 and Kahu, Kasol, Nadaun, Sunibhaji and Sundernagar 1 each; Punjab: Patiala 2; east Rajasthan: Virat-Nagar 10, Mandawar and Udaipurvati 8 each, Bansur, Kotputli and Sodawas 6 each, Danpur, Sagwara, Shahpura and Thanagaji 5 each, Khetri, Matri Kunda and Sarara 4 each, Bhadesar, Chaksu, Jamwa Ramgarh, Ladnu, Navalgarh, Piploo and Ramgarh 3 each, Alwar and Jayal 2 each and Amer, Bassi, Jawaja and Karoli 1 each; west Rajasthan: Churu and Eesuri 4 each; east Uttar Pradesh: Bhatpurwaghat 6, Allahabad and Dalmau 3 each, Jaunpur and Lucknow 2 each and Bhinga, Gaumatia, Hanuman Setu, Neemsar and Rae Bareli 1 each; west Uttar Pradesh: Sarsawa 7, Ankinghat 5 and Dabri and Fatehgarh 1 each; and Uttaranchal: Srinagar 6, Rudraprayag 5, Rishikesh 3, Banbasa and Dehra Dun 2 each and Hardwar, Tehri and Uttarkashi 1 each. Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, fell appreciably in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly below normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan, appreciably below normal in Punjab and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 43.2 degrees Celsius recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan). Forecast valid until the morning of June 30: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab and at isolated places in west Rajasthan.
