Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in east Uttar Pradesh and at isolated places in Haryana. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. Bansi and Birdghat (Uttar Pradesh) each recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, fell in east Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were largely above normal in Uttar Pradesh, markedly above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal and above normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 47C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).
