He told students about the kind of opportunities available in the market these days and the kind of projects the company was working on. It was followed by a one-to-one personal interview round in which he adjudged the students on the basis of their technical knowledge and their ability to solve problems.

Mr Dipinder Singh Sekhon, Director emphasised that students also got practical exposure and it became an added advantage for them at a later stage when they completed their degrees. “We give our students an opportunity to face the interview the moment they are ready to go for a job. So it is a good thing that they utilise their time on job while they are still completing their degrees,” said Mr Harinder Pal Singh, zonal head of Quest Infosys.

Ms Monika Dang, manager, Corporate Training and Placements, said four students had been shortlisted and there would be a final round next week.

She added that there would be more such interviews for both IT as well as MBA students. Such campus interviews gave a chance to all students of the Distance Education Centre to participate and interact with the potential employees under one roof.
