Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 45.6 recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).
