Chandigarh to get more power
Agreement signed with NHPC
Chandigarh, May 31
In order to ensure adequate power supply for the city, the Chandigarh Administration signed an agreement with the National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) today for supply of 20 MW power from its upcoming Kishanganga Hydro Project in Baramulla district, Jammu and Kashmir.

Patients examined on No Tobacco Day
Mohali, May 31
As a part of its outreach programme, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, on the occasion of “World No Tobacco Day” organised a one-day free pulmonology check-up camp at the hospital her today. Free consultation was given to more than a 100 patients for lung diseases, malignancy, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorders, asthma and other respiratory problems. Also, free-lung function tests (spirometry) were conducted to assess the condition of the lungs of patients, free of cost.
