Heat wave conditions have abated in east Uttar Pradesh.

Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Uttaranchal and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 45.1°C recorded at Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh)

Forecast valid until the morning of May 30: Rain/thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated dust storm/thunder storm is likely in Rajasthan and east Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 30: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. Rise in day temperature. The maximum temperature will be around 43°C.
