Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature (past 24 hours change): The maximum temperature rose in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 44.4°C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).

Forecast (valid until the morning of May 18): Isolated rain/thundershowers are likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Duststorm/thunderstorm are likely at isolated places in Haryana, West Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 18: Mainly clear sky with dust haze. The possibility of thundery development accompanied with squall in some areas during evening/night. The maximum temperature will be around 42°C.

Farmers’ weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of May 18: Development of thunderclouds is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.
