Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Uttaranchal, at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Jammu and Kashmir, fell in Himachal Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were above normal in east Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Jammu and Kashmir, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 44° C recorded at Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 16: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 16: Mainly clear sky with possibility of duststorm/thunderstorm towards evening/night in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 41° C.
