Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, west Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Delhi Ridge 3, Himachal Pradesh: Bhuntar and Shimla 1 each, West Rajasthan: Churu 4, Bikaner 2 and Jodhpur 1 West Uttar Pradesh: Hindon 1 and Uttaranchal: Pantnagar 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh changed a little elsewhere. Departure: They were largely below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, markedly below normal in Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 38.3°C recorded at Kota AP (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 7: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in the rest of the region. Isolated thundersqualls are likely in Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of May 7: Partly cloudy sky.The maximum temperature will be around 37°C.
