Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Himachal Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Bhang, Sunnibhaji and Shimla 2 each, Jammu and Kashmir: Quazigund 1 and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 3.

Temperature: Past 24 Hours change: The maximum temperatures rose in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, fell in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 41.6°C recorded at Behraich and Sultanpur (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 27: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal, at a few places in Haryana, Punjab and east Uttar Pradesh. Isolated duststorm/ thunderstorm is likely in Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 27: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development/light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 37°C.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of April 27: Development of thunderclouds/light rain is likely at a few places. Squall with wind speed exceeding 65 kmph is likely at isolated places.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
