Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers have occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures fell markedly in Jammu and Kashmir, fell appreciably in Punjab and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh, below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 43.9°C recorded at Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of April 26: Rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir, at a few places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Punjab. Isolated duststorm/thunderstorm is likely in Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of April 26: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development/light rain accompanied with squall in some areas. The maximum temperature will be around 38°C.
