Fire destroys wheat crop

Scooterist hurt in accident

Sandeep Kumar, a scooterist fractured his legs when he was hit by Maruti Esteem (CH-03-H-5306) near Fire Brigade, Sector 38, last night. The car driver fled the place leaving the car behind. Sandeep was admitted in the trauma ward of the General Hospital, Sector 16.

The police yesterday arrested Pratibha Bhardwaj, wife of B.D. Bhardwaj wanted for duping several persons of more than Rs 30 lakh. The police arrested her from her house. Her husband, the main accused is still at large. She was in a local court today which remanded her in police custody.

An orientation programme was conducted at St Soldier International Convent School for the parents of students from Classes Play Group-KG today.
