Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Haryana, rose in Punjaband east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and east Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 41.9C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).
