Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 36.6°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: The minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh, rose in west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Himachal Pradesh, west rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana nd normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 9.6°C recorded at Pilani (Rajasthan).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 16: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 16: Partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 30°C and 16°C, respectively.
