Past 24 hours change: The maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, rose in west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, fell in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were appreciably above normal in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in east Rajasthan, appreciably bejow normal in Punjab and normal in the rest of the region. The highest maximum temperature in the region was 36.4°C recorded at Jhalawar (Rajasthan).
