New Delhi, February 21
Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Uttar Pradesh, fell in Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: These were markedly below normal in Punjab, west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh, appreciably below normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan, below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest minimum temperature in the plains was 2.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 23: Rain/snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 23: Sunny day. Chilly winds likely during day time. Minimum temperature will be
around 7°C.
