New Delhi, February 15
Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at most places in Punjab, at a few places in Haryana and west Rajasthan and at isolated places in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh. Weather was dry in east Uttar Pradesh.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere.

Departures: These were markedly above normal in west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan, above normal in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 8.6°C recorded at Adampur (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 17: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradeh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers will occurat many places in Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and at a few places in the rest of the region. Isolated hailstorm is likely in Haryana, Punjab, north Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh.

Heavy rainfall warning: Scattered heavy rain/snow with isolated very heavy flal is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours. Isolated heavy rain/snow is likely in Uttaranchal during the same period. Isolated heavy rain is also likely in Punjab during the same period.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 17: Generally cloudy sky with rain/thundershowers. Mist in the morning. Minimum temperature will be around 12°C.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: Increase in precipitation likely.
