Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cms. are: Himachal Pradesh: Kumarsain 2 and Dehragopipur 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur and Sultanpur 2 each and Bahraich 1 and Uttaranchal: Mukteshwar 1.

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell in Haryana, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departures: They were below normal in Punjab and Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2°C recorded at Amritsar.
