Rainfall: Rain/snow has occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Rain/thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and changed a little elsewhere. These were below normal in Punjab, above normal in west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 2°C recorded at Amritsar.

Forecast valid until the morning of January 27: Rain/snow will occur at many places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at a few places in Uttaranchal. Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Rajasthan and at isolated places in the rest of the region. Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy rain/snow is likely in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir during the next 48 hours.
