Rainfall: Rain or snow has occurred at most places in Uttaranchal and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of precipitation in cm are: Himachal Pradesh: Dharampur and Rampurbushahar 1 each and Uttaranchal: Dehra Dun 2 and Mukteshwar 1.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, rose in Jammu and Kashmir and west Uttar Pradesh, fell in east Uttar Pradesh and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly below normal in Haryana, Punjab, west Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, appreciably below normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 33.8ºC recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in Uttaranchal, fell in Haryana and changed little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly below normal in Uttaranchal, appreciably below normal in Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, below normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttar Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 13.0ºC recorded at Sarsawa (Uttar Pradesh).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 15: Rain/snow are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttaranchal. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely in Uttar Pradesh. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of October 15: Partly cloudy sky, maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 29ºC and 18ºC respectively.

Farmers weather bulletin for Delhi forecast valid until the morning of October 15: Sky will be partly cloudy.

Outlook for the subsequent two days: No large change.
