Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperature: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures changed little. Departure: They were above normal in Himachal Pradesh and normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 39.0°C recorded at Sriganganagar (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum emperatures changed little. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan and normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 16.0°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of October 10: Rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Haryana, Punjab, west Rajasthan and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
