Rainfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, at many places in Uttar Pradesh, at a few places in Haryana and at isolated places in Punjab and east Rajasthan. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region. The chief amounts of rainfall in cm are: Haryana: Ambala and Hisar 2 each and New Delhi (Palam) 1, Punjab: Patiala 1, East Rajasthan: Kotkashim 8, Tizara 4, Tapukata 3 and Kiashangarh 1, East Uttar Pradesh: Katerniaghat 7, Bani 5, Allahabad, Bhatpurwaghat, Lucknow and Palliakalan 4 each, Chhatnag, Kakardharighat and Kakrahi 3 each, Elginbridge and Varanasi A.P. 2 each and Dalmau, Kanpur and Neemsar 1 each, West Uttar Pradesh: Fatehgarh 3 and Narora 2 and Uttaranchal: Uttarkashi 12, Banbasa 7, Mukteshwar and Pantnagar 3 each, Joshimath 2 and Dehra Dun 1.
