Ranfall: Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Punjab. Weather was dry in the rest of the region. Banihal (Jammu and Kashmir) recorded 1 cm of rainfall.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in east Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere.

Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, appreciably above normal in Haryana, east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal, above normal in west Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh and normal in east Rajasthan. The highest temperature in the region was 45.6°C recorded at Hissar (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of May 19: Rain/thundershowers are likely at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Uttaranchal. Weather will be mainly dry n the rest of the region.
