Madras Club defeated Young Cricketers by four wickets in an A-I Division match of the DDCA League at the Yamuna complex ground.
Scores: Young Cricketers: 195 for 9 in 40 overs (Abhishek Choudhary 54, Rushil Bhaskar 45, Varun Sood 2 for 26, Kavin Gupta 2 for 34). Madras Club: 196 for 6 in 37.4 overs (Punit Bisht 91, Bharat Grover 31 n o, Sunny Thakur 2 for 34).

Rajender Nagar Colts defeated State Bank of India (SBI) by seven wickets in an A-I Division match at the Yamuna ground.

Scores: SBI: 121 all out in 28.2 overs (Sanjeev Chopra 29, Vijay Bahadur 28, Kashmir Singh 4 for 25, Ankit Lamba 4 for 19). Rajender Nagar: 125 for 3 in 28 overs (Gaurav Kumar 50 n o, Sumit Kundu 31 n o, Rajesh Joshi 2 for 21).

Ajmal Khan Coaching Centre defeated Delhi Colts by 76 runs in an A-I Division match at the Mohan Meakins ground.

Kranti Star beat J N Golden by 63 runs in an A-II Division match at the Palam B ground.

Goyankan Club move up

Goyankan Cricket Club defeated ASPM Academy, Punjabi Bagh by 48 runs in the Achrekar Under-15 Cricket Tournament at the Paschim Vihar ground.

Scores: Goyankan Club: 342 for 8 in 50 overs (Sahil Arora 63, Ankit 58). ASPM Academy: 294 for 9 in 50 overs (Varun Kumar 102 n o, Navnit Singh 46, Parnav Chakravarti 2 for 14, Mayank Sethi 2 for 21).

Naman, Mukul star in SG Turf Youth Cup

Spitfire knocks by Naman Khanna (70, 8x4) and Mukul Aggarwal (66, 7x4) helped Don Bosco School defeat Gyan Bharati School by 30 runs in a league match of the second S.G.Turf Youth Cup Cricket Tournament at the Central Secretariat ground.

Naman Khanna was adjudged the man of the match while Mukul Aggarwal was given the best batsman award. TCA Jayant was presented the best bowler award.

Scores: Don Bosco: 203 for 8 in 40 overs (Naman Khanna 70, Mukul Aggarwal 66, TCA Jayant 3 for 28). Gyan Bharati: 173 all out in 38.3 overs (Varun Sudan 43, Charnjeet Singh 40, Dhruv Baggai 3 for 24, Kunal Kumar 3 for 28).

HCL Technologies win

HCL Technologies defeated Reebok by 14 runs in the Reebok Cricket Tournament at the Palam ground.

Eastern to meet Western in Air Force cricket final

Eastern Air Command will meet Western Air Command in the final of the Air Force Cricket Championship. In the semi-finals, Eastern Air Command defeated South West Air Command by eight wickets while Western Air Command got past Central Air Command on the basis of their first innings lead. Both the matches were held at the Palam grounds.

Scores: South West: 184 (Harish Bhaskar 39, Ojha 26, V K Dheer 39 n o, Pankaj 2 for 74, Mohanty 3 for 39, Venkat 2 for 39) and 274 (Vishal 79, S K Ojha 89, Asif Khan 61, K P Mohan 6 for 66). An unbeaten century by Vikas Garg (110 n o, 15x4) and 83 by Dinesh Khatri helped Harry Cricket Academy defeat Haryana Cricket Academy by 11 runs in the fifth Namdhari Cup Under-17 Cricket Tournament at the Dharampal Sports Complex.

Delhi Police whip FCI, enter semi-final

An all-round display by skipper Sune Singh Thakran (52, 1x6, 8x4, 62b and 2 for 25) and an impressive half century by Sanjay Verma (58, 4x6, 3x4, 53b) helped Delhi Police whip defending champions Food Corporation of India (FCI) by 56 runs to enter the semi-final of the Om Nath Sood Memorial Cricket Tournament at the Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce ground at
Pitampura.

Due to overnight rain, the match was reduced to 35 overs a side. Sune Singh Thakran was presented the Pepsi man of the match award by national umpire Devender Sharma.

Scores: Delhi Police: 245 for 7 in 35 overs (Sanjay Verma 58, Sune Singh 52, Rakesh Singh 28, Rajesh Sharma 29 n o, Rajiv Rathore 32, Amit Singh 2 for 23, Imran Khan 2 for 43). India to field 15-member team for Asian Judo

New Delhi, April 23
The Judo Federation of India has selected a 15-member team for the Asian Judo Championship to be held at Almaty, Kazakhstan, from May 13 to 17. Around 39 Asian countries are expected to participate in the championship, to be conducted by the Asian Judo Union. This is also the qualifying event for the Asian judokas for the Athens Olympic Games.

The team: Khumujam Tombi Devi, Angorn Anita Chanu, Laishram Nirupama Devi, Yamnam Landhori Devi, Paramjit Kumari, Akram Shah, Bhupinder Singh, Karambir, Yashpal Solanki and Anil Kumar. Jai Gopal Sharma and Jiwan Kumar

Sharma will be the coaches. Wamanrao Ravindra Patil and Munawar Anzar Ali Siddiqui will accompany the squad as A grade referees while Mukesh Kumar will be the manager.

Akram Shah and Anitha Chanu have already earned some points from the last Asian Championship and other international events to qualify for the Olympics.
