Ludhiana, April 19
A free medical check up camp was organised by Rishi Har Milap Nursing Home, Jalandhar bye pass, here with the cooperation of Dr Eva Maria Velerdo and Love Bridge of Greece at Kasabad village, Ludhiana. The camp was inaugurated by Mr K.L. Malhotra, Advocate, Past District Governor Lions Club International. A total of 850 patients were examined free medicines were given to patients.

Dr Rajinder Singh MD, eye surgeon, Dr Suman Lata, dental surgeon, Dr Vinay Kakkar and Dr Harjinder Singh, Dr Sunil Lakhotra, child specialists, Dr Indejrit Singh and Dr K.S. Bhalla of Kotnis Hospital examined the patients and provided free services.

A sarpanch, Mr Gurinder Singh Banty, and Mr Harnek Singh Dhaliwal, Panch, Mr Baldev Singh Dhaliwal presented the doctors with mementoes.

Minor Districts Zone-B put up a challenging total of 261 before Ludhiana in the match of the Punjab State Inter-District Cricket Tournament (u-15) for the Sushil Bali Trophy being held here at the Satish Chander Dhawan Government College for Boys ground here today. At stumps, the hosts were 20 for no loss after six overs.

The visitors’ team is comprising players from seven districts-Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Ropar, Gurdaspur, Nawanshahr, Fatehgarh Sahib and Moga. The team is batting first after winning the toss and has reached a fighting total of 261 in 87 overs. The main contributors were Harpal (41), Krishan (52), Sandeep (56) and Rohit (42) while Ludhiana skipper, Gagandeep Dhand gave a good account of himself claiming six wickets for 59 runs.
