PRINCIPALSPEAK Of
all the creations of the Almighty, man is the superior most. Yet he has a quarrelsome nature. Amazing but true. How often we fret and fume as we feel that we have been denied our rightful shares. Each one of us, seem have no quandary about our rights and privileges. It’s worthwhile to remember that the universe functions on the law of return. Every action rebounds on us. Even the laws of physics uphold the same policy. Yet, we are not willing to take the onus of our actions. If we are desirous of people behaving well with us, then we bear the responsibility of behaving well with them. The logic is very simple. As we indulge in positive activities, we start gravitating towards all that is positive in the universe. Those who prevaricate this are actually fooling themselves into defying the universal laws. After all who does not love being near a soft-spoken person? If one speaks with compassion, people will think twice before being rude to him. If you have helped somebody in distress, then you have sown for yourself a seed that will one day germinate into a tree of sweet blossoms. On the contrary, if you spew venom all the time, you are likely to be branded a dragon and best left alone.
The Hindu philosophy of Karma is the actual summation of the same. All our pleasures and pains are the returns of what we had done to others in our present or in our previous births. Dohas of Ram Charitra Manas categorically explain how no one is responsible for our miseries except we ourselves, and more so our misguided actions.
We see it happening around us every day. A robber does not enjoy the bliss of having lovely, obedient children. An angry man never experiences inner peace. A good soul never suffers endlessly and a good heart always wins admiration. It is entirely up to us to get what we want by investing in similar deeds. You must have heard the famous song sung by world-renowned singers in the 80s, which raised millions to feed a starving Ethiopia – ‘We are the world, we are the children, we are the ones to make a better world, you and me’. Do unto others, what you desire to receive most The most precious in you, hold to a toast Let goodness beget goodness, please let it sprout
Always be alert, as your sins will find you out. |
