Rainfall: Weather was dry over the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures rose in west Rajasthan and changed a little elsewhere. Departure: This was largely above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, markedly above normal in Punjab and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The highest temperature in the region was 43.2°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures changed a little. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab and Rajasthan and appreciably above normal in the rest of the region. The lowest temperature in the plains was 13.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 18: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of March 18: Mainly clear sky. Maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 35°C and 21°C respectively.
