After having received an overwhelming number of over 6,000 entries, a selection panel was constituted that included fashion photographer Subi Samuel, leading model Cleo Issacs, ex. The entries were shortlisted at the regional level and the chosen contestants went through a preliminary round in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. The pick of the lot, the chosen ones, the final 29 are showcasing their talent, confidence and beauty. These young women are representing Mumbai, Bangalore, Channai, Indore, Goa, Coimbatore, Pune and Kolkata and will have a chance to emulate the success of Sushmita, Aishwarya, Diana and all the other Indian beauties that have set a precedent in bringing home the international crown. “Over the years, the Femina Miss India pageant has felicitated women of substance, contemporary woman, who are a perfect balance between the attributes of mind and body and between the individuality and beauty,” said Vivek Rampal, Category Head-Skin care, Hindustan Lever.
