Noida diamond loot: Merchant, cops trade charges

The case of a Rs 1.5 crore loot in a diamond showroom in Sector-18 is becoming murkier by the day. The Noida police have been skeptical about the heist and claimed that most of the diamond and jewellery sets, allegedly looted by the criminals, had been recovered from the showroom.

Mehta flouts Mayor’s directive, plays truant at meeting

Dreaded criminal killed in encounter

The Vijay Nagar police gunned down a dreaded criminal, Guniya, alias Ganesh, son of Om Prakash of Sikandarabad in Bulandshahar district in an encounter last night. He was carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head announced by the Haryana police and another of Rs 20,000 by the UP police.
