Rainfall: Weather was dry in the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal and changed little elsewhere. Departure: This was largely above normal in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Haryana and Punjab and normal in Uttar Pradesh. The highest temperature in the region was 39.1°C recorded at Barmer (Rajasthan).

Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose appreciably in Punjab, rose in Haryana and Rajasthan and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were appreciably above normal in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in Punjab and normal in Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature n the plains was 9.6°C recorded at Amritsar (Punjab).

Forecast valid until the morning of March 11: Rain or snow is likely at isolated places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.
