Rain or snow has occurred at a few places in Jammu and Kashmir. Weather was mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Temperatures: Past 24 hours change: Minimum temperatures rose in Haryana and Punjab and changed little elsewhere. Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in east Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 10.8°C recorded at Ambala A.P. (Haryana).

Forecast valid until the morning of February 29: Rain or snow is likely at a few places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and at isolated places in Uttaranchal. Rain or thundershowers are likely at isolated places in Haryana and Punjab. Weather will be mainly dry in the rest of the region.

Forecast for Delhi and neighbourhood valid until the morning of February 29: Partly cloudy sky with possibility of thundery development/light rain in some areas. Minimum temperature will be around 14°C.
