Departure: They were markedly above normal in Himachal Pradesh and west Rajasthan, appreciably above normal in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan and Uttaranchal, above normal in west Uttar Pradesh and normal in east Uttar Pradesh. The lowest temperature in the plains was 10.8°C recorded at Ambala A.P. (Haryana).
