Delhi Blues defeated Tilak Nagar Colts by eight wickets in an A-I Division match of the DDCA League at the University ground.

Scores: T N Colts: 135 all out in 31.5 overs (Sachin Kumar 31, Som Nath 32, Mukesh Diwan 4 for 22, Sachin Jain 2 for 15).

Delhi Blues: 136 for 2 in 18.5 overs (Tarun Gupta 54 n o, Amrinder Singh 34).

Malviya Club defeated National Stadium Cricket Centre by six wickets in a Super A Division match at the University II ground.

Scores: National Stadium: 179 for 9 in 40 overs (Nitin Thareja 73, Oniel Wilson 5 for 22).

Malviya Club: 181 for 4 in 31.3 overs (Satender Yadav 43, Oniel Wilson 40, T Anand 30, Sachi Ranjan 2 for 24).

Pioneer defeated Delhi Gymkhana by 28 runs in an A-II Division match at the RSC ground.

Pro-Agro move up in Turf corporate tourney

An all-round display by Ranjeet Pillay (32 and 3 for 23) and deadly bowling (3 for 13) by Brijesh Kumar helped Pro-Agro defeat Ribus-Is by 11 runs in a league match of the fourth Turf Corporate Cricket Tournament at the Guru Gobind Singh College ground.

Ranjeet was declared the man of the match while Ramesh Kumar got the best batsman award. Gopal Raja Raman received the best bowler award.

Scores: Pro-Agro: 104 all out in 23 overs (Ramesh Kumar 32, Ranjeet Pillay 32 n o, Gopal Raja Raman 5 for 15, Sushil Sharma 3 for 16, Anil Kumar 2 for 12).

Ribusis: 93 all out in 22.3 overs (Ranjeet Pillay 3 for 23, Brijesh Kumar 3 for 13, Raja Vishwas 2 for 22).

Deeapk, Sanjay star for NTPC

Star performances by Deepak Sharma and Sanjay Khanna enabled NTPC defeat Kuehne and Nagel by 73 runs in the Reebok Cricket Tournament at the Palam ground.

Sunita, Preeti shine in Delhi’s title victory

All-round displays by Sunita Yadav (28 and 2 for 14), a quickfire unbeaten 30 by Preeti Gupta and deadly bowling by Ambika Rani (3 for 10) helped Delhi defeat Haryana by 21 runs to annex the second Youth National Super Seven Cricket Tournament at Nainital.

Scores: Delhi: 76 for 4 in six overs (Sunita Yadav 28 n o, Preeti Gupta 32, Suvira Shahni 25, Sarita Sharma 2 for 21).

Haryana: 55 all out in 5.5 overs (Jai Sharma 38, Sunita Yadav 2 for 14, Ambika Rani 3 for 10).

Sunita Yadav was adjudged the best all-rounder, Ambika Rani got the best bowler award while Jai Sharma was adjudged the best batswoman.

CanSupport Golf at Classic

New Delhi, February 26
The second CanSupport Golf Tournament will be played at the par-72 Classic Golf Resort on Sunday.

The event will be supported by India Tourism and the HT, and will be managed by Tiger Sports Management. Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdulla will distribute the prizes.

“We are extremely grateful to India Tourism and ITDC chairman Amitabh Kant for supporting this tournament”, said Ms Harmala Gupta, president of CanSupport.

The tournament will be played on an individual stableford format with some of the biggest names in the corporate and bureaucratic world participating.
