A ‘Monte Carlo Smart Search Contest’ was organised today at the local Kamla Lohtia SD College for Boys. A perception-psychological poster-making contest was held in which about 50 students participated. The much-awaited ‘Monte Carlo Professional World Quiz’ and product launcher (ad-show) were also organised in which more than 1,100 students participated.
The quiz master was Mr Aditya Raj Kalia. There were four rounds and each round had a special significance. The first round was called an ‘eye opener round’ in which questions relating to business, general knowledge, IT World and India were asked.
The second round was the ‘clue round’ in which the teams had to identify a personality with the help of clues. There was a ‘buzzer round’ and a ‘situational round’ also in which all teams had to enact a situation and provide solution to a problem.
In the ‘product launcher’ round, students were divided into five categories and each category was allotted a different product involving designing an advertisement and a concept. The products included soft drinks, chocolates, trousers, etc. Twentyfive teams participated in the contest.
The brand manager, Monte Carlo, Mr Sachin Sahni, said such contests would be beneficial for students who were preparing for a professional career.
Mr Sahni and Principal of Kamal Lohita S D College, Mr B.D. Budhiraja, gave away the prizes and certificates to the winners in different categories. The results of the contests are as follows:
